4 Month Checkup

Yesterday, Alli had her 4 month checkup and she is growing like a weed! She nows weighs 14.2 lbs and is 24 1/2 inches long. She has already rolled over from her back to her tummy and yes, she then gets very mad and smooshes her face into the floor while screaming as loud as possible. Let's just say she does have a temper, which she much have gotten from her dad!  She has been enjoying rice cereal in her bottle for about a month now (which the handout the Dr. gave me says you should not do...opps). I bought some apples,pears,prunes, & peaches baby food this morning, which we may attempt in the next few days.  Alli is into all of her 6 month clothes and some of them are about too small. I need to get out the 6-9 month clothes and wash em up as I know she will be into them in no time. The doctor did switch her to a sensative formula. She has always been a very gassy baby but it seems the last month or so has been really bad. It just seems like she's always struggling. So, we're trying that and hoping it makes her a little more comfortable!

We have also been working on being able to put her in her crib when it's time to go to sleep instead of rocking her to sleep. She got to the point that once she fell asleep in your arms and you went to put her in her crib, her eyes would fly open instatnly...and we would start all over again. It was very exhausting to say the least. Some days are better than others for HER and ME. Some times I just REALLY want to hold and rock her to sleep.

So, anyway Dr. Fall says she is one healthy girl and that is all that matters!

I've been feeding Alli rice cereal in her bottle at night for a few weeks now and she justs LOVES it. So yesterday I thought we should try it off a spoon. She did pretty well once she got the hang of it.

Getting so big!!

Miss Alli is getting SO BIG! She's 6 weeks old now...where does the time go? She's already outgrown all her newborn clothes :(  She's also started holding her head up better and better everyday.

Meeting our little sister

Tuesday afternoon Loren went to pick the boys up from school and brought them to the hospital to see Alli and I. They were pretty excited!! They both took turns holding and kissing her. We have to keep our eyes on Caden at ALL times...he thinks he can just pick her up whenever with NO help!
