All Moved In

Tomorrow will be a week since we moved into our little rental house in Loveland. Everything that we NEED is unpacked(although Loren & I's definition of need varies). We left a lot of boxes and furniture in the garage! We are still looking for a house to buy & have also met with a builder to see about building again. We'll see what happens with all that! For now we are happy to be all together again & back to normal. Our next big event is school starting on Monday! Wish us luck!!

Our journey begins....

Well our trip to Colorado was fast, furious, and a success! Loren and I left last Sunday morning and spent the day driving around to preview the houses we were scheduled to look at Monday. I must say having a navigation device in our vehicle was WONDERFUL!! I have a feeling that will become my best friend for the first 6 months after we move. Anyway, after a not so pleasant first night in a bad motel, we met with our real estate agent at 8:30 and began our search for our new home. We proceeded to look at 13 or 14 houses  that morning and narrowed it down to 3. We went back to those 3 later Monday afternoon and then spent the evening pondering...and pondering....We ended up looking back thru our list of "maybes" and found 6 more houses we thought we should take a look at before making our decision.
So, Tuesday morning came and off we went again. Still nothing that just blew us away. The one house that we both really liked was a new construction in Loveland. Only problem was it had a very small garage and no extra room outside. The builder just happened to be at the house next door so we got to chatting and he mentioned that he is going to be starting another house on a BIG lot in Windsor with a BIG garage. We were sold and signed on the dotted line. The house won't be completed until the end of December so we very well could be homeless for a few weeks (trying not to focus on that right now). Of course we wish the house could be done sooner...more like yesterday...but we're excited!

Changes are Happening!!

Where to start...

Well as many of you already know we will soon be leaving Gillette and moving on to a new life in Colorado. So this beautiful house below is up for sale and waiting for it's new owners! As sad as we are to leave our house (that after finally getting it completely finished and just the way we like it), our friends and family, our wonderful school, and most importantly our comfort zone...there is a small part of us that is ready to go and see what our new adventure will bring us.

In a few weeks, Loren and I are going house hunting. We're looking at houses in several areas close to Evans, which is where Loren's office is. Loren will be making the trip next week to start working so hopefully he'll have a little spare time to drive around and see the sights!
I'll keep everyone updated as our new journey takes place....

First Day of School

Happy to say that we made it to school this morning with no meltdowns, issues, or drama!! The boys were actually excited to go back...mostly just to see their friends :). It was raining this morning so the boys didn't have stand outside and line up like they normally would which kind of threw Caden for a loop but they were both fine once inside. Hope they have a wonderful first day! Can't believe I have a 1st & 2nd grader!!
